Patrick Bade
Paris and Modernity, Part II: 1905 - 1925
Summary
In this lecture, Patrick Bade looks at the blockbuster exhibition, Paris et l'esprit moderne at the Petit Palais. This exhibition was bookended by both the Salon d'Automne of 1905, which launched the Fauve movement, and the Exposition des Arts Décoratifs of 1925, which gave its name to the Art Deco style.
