Three Cities Three Cultures: Córdoba, Seville and Granada
Summary
A look at the growth of Jewish tourism in Spain, a country which for centuries was empty of Jews. Jews flourished and achieved cultural heights and positions of authority during the Golden Age of Muslim Spain, Al-Andalus, but their fortunes were reversed with the arrival of puritanical Berber tribes from Morocco and the relentless Christian Reconquista. This presentation will examine this past as well Jewish life in Spain as it is today.
