Claude Monet and London: Views of the Thames
How to watch
Summary
Between 1899 and 1904, during several stays at London’s Savoy hotel, Claude Monet painted a series of views of the bridges over the River Thames. 27 of these extraordinary paintings have been gathered together by the Courtauld Gallery to fulfil Monet’s own ambition to present the paintings in the city that inspired them. Like the Van Gogh exhibition at the National Gallery this exhibition of Monet was sold out throughout its run. This enthralling presentation will enable those who were unable to see the exhibition in person do so virtually.
