The Ten Lost Tribes, Part 2: How Did the Ten Tribes Become Lost?

Tuesday 1.04.2025

How to watch

This lecture starts on 1 April at 5:00pm (UK).

Summary

This lecture will focus on the Second Temple period after Cyrus the Great, who allows the returns of the captives from Babylon. But do the captives from Assyria come back? Second Temple Judaism begins to wonder where they are and this is reflected in the “apocryphal” literature of the books of Tobit, Esdras, and the Second Book of Baruch.
