Monday 7.04.2025

How to watch

This lecture starts on 7 April at 5:00pm (UK).

Summary

This presentation will examine the expansion of the Vikings and the Arabs. The Viking world was much larger than just Britain, stretching as it did from the North Atlantic to the Black Sea. The Arab world likewise took off after the arrival of Islam in the 7th century CE, and stretched from the Middle East and beyond, towards India and across North Africa into Europe.
